Will others be able to view my team's stats?[ top ]

If you want them to. A great feature of StatShare.com is that it provides access to media affiliates, fans, recruiters, and others. However, if you do not wish to allow others to view your team stats, you can choose to take advantage of our "lock out" feature. If at any time you choose to "lock" or "unlock" this feature, you can. Choosing to "lock" your stat page will not allow others to view it unless you preselect certain individuals to do so (they will get an automatic email with a link right to your stat page when you update your stats). This will be a great feature to provide your media with your updates. Of course, whether you choose this feature or not, YOU and your staff will always be in control of your stat page.

How do I keep track of the athletes that I am interested in following on your site?[ top ]

Once you have signed up for our FREE StatShare.com membership and set up your personal administrative page, you will be able to subscribe to those athletes that you are interested in following. Each time an athlete that you are tracking has their individual stats updated, you will be notified by email of the update(s).

Do I need a special computer or software package to use StatShare.com?[ top ]

NO! One of the great things about StatShare is that anyone can use the site from anywhere. Whether you are a coach wanting to use StatShare as your statistical resource, a college recruiter wanting to locate and track athletes that will help your program, an athlete wanting to share your stats and information with others, a member of the media desiring to gather information about local teams and athletes that you are covering, or just an interested fan wanting to search for specific athletes and/or teams, nothing will be needed except access to the internet. There is nothing to purchase and no special equipment needed.

I already track my team’s statistics in a book or another computer program. Why should I be interested in StatShare.com?[ top ]

StatShare.com not only gives you a place to keep and maintain your teams statistics online for FREE and with very little effort, but it also saves you a lot of time and energy by reducing the amount of calls that is necessary to keep your local media informed of your team’s play. The media will have access to the stats as they are entered into StatShare (see Media #7). StatShare.com also allows you to print off customizable stat forms to use on the sidelines, or if you prefer, you can keep your stats using a computer or other device that will then upload them directly to the site (see FAQ # 4). In this case, you will have access to your team’s stats from any PC or hand held device with or without internet access. StatShare.com allows you to review the stats from old games, or those of other teams or specific athletes for game planning or tracking purposes. These are just a few of the reasons to become a member of StatShare.com for FREE today.

I am a coach and concerned that my players are going to be changing their statistics on the website. How can I make sure this does not happen?[ top ]

The statistics are automatically protected once a coach signs his/her team up on StatShare.com. From this point forward, the coach or his/her assigned representative has control over his/her player’s statistics with a secure username and password system.

What sports are available at StatShare.com?[ top ]

Our currently featured sports are listed in the gray navigation bar to your left. We add new sports frequently, if you are interested in having a particular sport added please email us at suggestions@statshare.com.

Is there a "KEY" to let me know what the abbreviations stand for?[ top ]

Simply put the cursor on the abbreviation and it will tell you what it stands for

How do I enter stats?[ top ]

Click on "my stats"
Click on your team name
Click on "enter statistics"

How do I view stats from the past?[ top ]

Click on "My Team Page"
Click on the "Game History" tab
Under "Team History" select the "Season" and "Competition date" that you are looking for and the page will automatically load your results

How do I change my WIN/LOSS[ top ]

-click on MY STATS
-select a team
-click on EDIT PREVIOUS GAMES
-click on the game that you want to change

How do I edit/delete stats from the past?[ top ]

Click on "my stats"
Click on your team name
Click on "edit previous stats"

How do I change a player's height and weight?[ top ]

Click on "my team"
Click on your team name
Click on "edit main roster"
Click on the player of choice
Click on "edit player"
Change as desired

How do I change a or delete him/her from my roster?[ top ]

Click on "my team page"
Click on "team roster" tab
Click on "modify" and make changes

How do I edit some of my team information (i.e. School name, District etc.)?[ top ]

Change as desired
Always click "update" to save changes

How do I add/delete a sport?[ top ]

Click on "my account"
Select a sport from "add a sport / delete a sport" at the bottom

At the top of the page click on the "LOCK TEAM STATS" button

How do I allow others (media etc.) to receive emails letting them know that my stats have been updated ?[ top ]

Click on "subscriptions"
Click on team name in dropdown box
Enter email address of choice
Click on "update subscription"

How do I upload our team picture?[ top ]

Click on "my team"

How do I make my team page a link on another website?[ top ]

How Do I Create a Staff Memeber?[ top ]

-click on MY STAFF
-click on “ADD NEW USER”
-fill the information inserting a username and password
-click on “update”

How Do I Edit a Staff Memeber?[ top ]

-click on MY STAFF -click on the name of the person that you want to modify -click on “EDIT SELECTED USER” -change the information -click on “update”

How do I Create a Tournament?[ top ]

-click on “MY TOURNAMENTS”
-at the bottom of the page:
   insert TOURNAMENT NAME
   select TEAM NAME
   insert TOURNAMENT LOCATION
-click on “CREATE TOURNAMENT”

How do I Add events/Stats to a Tournament?[ top ]

-insert the stats as usual from “MY STATS” page
-click on “MY TOURNAMENTS”
-choose the tournament of the game that you just entered
-select the game that needs to be added from the dropdown
-click on “UPDATE TOURNAMENTS”

How Do I Delete an Event/Stats From a Tournament?[ top ]

-click on “MY TOURNAMENTS”
-choose the tournament that needs to be modified
-check the checkbox of the game that you wish to delete
- click on “Update Tournaments”

A Player of Mine Already Has a Personal Profile. What Do need to do?

-Ask your Athlete for their username (password not required)
-click on "MY TEAMS"
-choose your team and click on "EDIT MAIN ROSTER"
-click on "USER NAME" (TOP LEFT)
-type in the user name of the athlete
-fill in the other fields (position is required)
-click on "ADD NEW"
